Cette originale monographie des espèces fréquentant les deux hectares de la réserve du Nez-de-Jobourg fait le point sur leur statut au cours des années 1953 à 1969. Ce site a déjà le statut de réserve depuis le 1er décembre 1965, loué par la Société pour l'étude et la protection de la nature en Bretagne et Cotentin (SEPNBC), dont le conservateur est Mlle Lecourtois. La SEPNB transfèrera cette réserve au GONm le 30 octobre 1982. J. Alamargot poussera son intérêt pour le Nez-de-Jobourg jusqu'à en devenir propriétaire, le laissant en gestion au GONm.
